Modern Transitional Neutral Fall Decor Home Tour

Much of the brilliant red, orange, and gold color is abundant in Washington State this time of year – I know because I grew up there AND was just there this past week! I find these hues gorgeous in the outdoors, but no so much in my home.

Even though Arizona is still hot this time of year (drifting around the low 80’s today), I still like to experience the Fall season in my home. With a modern, transitional design style, shifting from Summer to Fall is pretty much a breeze!

With a few simple additions and a little touch of nature brought in from outside, my modern transitional neutral fall decor home is ready for company.

So, welcome to this year’s Fall Home Tour with lots of inexpensive Fall decorating ideas.

Modern Transitional Neutral Fall Home Decor Tour Entryway

The front door is flanked with two new arborvitae ‘faux’ evergreen trees that look so real, even my neighbor didn’t believe they were faux! I also hung a neutral Fall wreath, replaced my diy cute shoes doormat with a ‘hey there pumpkin’ doormat, and added a white pumpkin in a black house lantern to welcome our family and friends.

Modern Transitional Neutral Fall Home Decor Tour Living Room

In the living room I added a light plaid throw blanket to one of the couches (just in case it drops below 80, haha), some navy and cream ticking stripe pillows, and a few touches of Fall foliage – neutral with a hint of purple – on the coffee and side tables.

I love easy, inexpensive diy projects… like this display of modern, white faux fruit! I had a bunch of artificial fruit, spray painted them white, then once they were dry I added gold glitter paint to the stems and voila – modern diy white faux fruit! Shhh don’t tell anyone.

Modern Transitional Neutral Home Decor Tour Office

What? Orange! Well some orange did make it into my Fall home tour! haha.  This is my home office and it sits right across from the dining room table, behind two modern barnwood doors!

If you’re new to my blog you may not know that orange is the accent color for the Your Marketing BFF brand – so it was only fitting to add a touch of orange to this room. BTW: These orange hexagon shapes were white poster board (I purchased from the dollar store), spray painted and taped to the front of my modern white console! Another easy, diy project that cost me less than $15… and it’s not permanent, so why not have some fun!

When I think of Fall, wheat or straw comes to mind – maybe because I grew up on a farm?! Hmmmm, not sure. Anyways I bought 3 mini wheat wreaths and placed them on a blue pinstriped runner (actually fabric, that I bought and folded) and added a simple candle to the middle wreath to create a centerpiece/focal point in the center of the table.

If you don’t already know this, I LOVE using items from my fridge to use in my home decor. I bought a whole bag of gala apples for less than $2 and put them on display. Apples remind me of hot apple cider (with or without Fireball), it’s the perfect drink to warm your soul on a chilly night! And a great apple candle scent adds to the home sweet home Fall vibe in the kitchen.

Can’t forget adding a few copper pieces throughout the kitchen to remind me of my late Grandmother Click, a few baking ingredients within easy reach (did you see my easy baked Pumpkin Donuts recipe?), displaying my favorite cookbook at the moment “Magnolia Table” and a striped turkish hand towel! That’s it, I keep things pretty simple.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my modern transitional neutral Fall decor home tour! And that it inspires you to add a touch of Fall into your own home – without spending a fortune!
