Spring Home Tour: Modern Fresh Blossoms
Welcome to our Spring Home Tour Blog Hop! If you are visiting for the first time from Janine of Happy Happy Nester, welcome. Oh my gosh, weren’t all those colorful flowers and that floral pattern pillow GORGEOUS!
So whether you’re new or one of my repeat friends, hello… and I hope you enjoy my Spring Home Tour: Modern Fresh Blossoms.
This year my Spring home tour was inspired by peach blossoms and a ‘gathering at home’ vibe.

I picked items with a peach/coral color, freshly potted plants + herbs and of course, blossoms throughout our home was all it took to bring my vision to life.
Since the kitchen is the heart of the home and our gathering place is the kitchen table, I thought I would start here…
You might notice the peach colored tablescape centerpieces of clay pots filled with fresh herbs and succulents — being from Washington State I am always infusing fresh greenery into our Arizona home! And something as simple as laying a lightweight throw blanket on the bench seating adds a little bit more color and texture to the space.
I bought the smaller clay pots (2) for $1 from the Dollar Store and the center clay pot at Michael’s for $4.19. The striped linen napkins with scalloped detailing were on clearance at Pier 1 Imports for $2.48 each. I just want you to know that you don’t have to spend a lot to give your home a fresh look!
Since I do a lot of baking and cooking, I like to keep the kitchen clean and clutter free, so a few details here and there is all it takes.
I added this green and white dish towel from Ikea to the dishwasher handle, potted some fresh herbs – which will be used in cooking – into clay pots, and a few blossoms in a small vase to bring the peach + blossom theme flowing into the kitchen.
I also added some of my favorite faux blossom stems and freshly picked oranges from a friends tree — we are never at a loss for fresh citrus and it’s a beautiful way to inexpensively add some spring color into your home!
A fuller view of the kitchen as a whole.
This darling fish plate was purchased at Pier 1 Imports on clearance for $1.79. Since I like grouping things in odd numbers (they just look better), I placed the top of a freshly cut pineapple into a white pot reminding me of an agave plant.
Straight across from the kitchen is our living room. So when I’m whipping up dinner, I’m looking straight at this view over the kitchen table + blue couch.
My husband built this beautiful, long cabinet console to hide all of the electronics, speakers and remote controls.
When I came across this white goose peach blossom painting, I knew immediately it would go perfectly within my spring decor.
I also came across this Gracie Oaks orange tree on Wayfair back in January (sorry, it’s no longer available). And even though it came in its own pot I place it inside one of the peach colored clay pots I bought from Michael’s for less than $5 to compliment the vibe.
Have you figured it out yet? I have a transitional design style, with a touch of minimalism and a whole lot of frugalness! Haha
Here’s a wider angle shot to show you a little bit more of our living room.
You can catch a glimpse of one of the two cobalt blue couches that anchor the space. I added a peach/coral colored lightweight throw blanket and a coral colored pillow cover that I sewed from linen napkins (from Pier 1 Imports, on clearance for $1.49) and the whole space is light and airy for spring.
It doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money to add a little touch of spring to your home. With a neutral pallet I’m able to add a touch of color and a few home decor accents to greatly transform our home each season… and so can you! Note: I also move things around from room to room, shopping my own home most of the time.
These are actually faux blossoms I bought from Kirkland’s (and will continue to use for many years to come) and placed them into a carafe I bought at HomeGoods over 5 years ago.
Tip: Buy items you can use for more than one purpose, like this carafe! Doesn’t it make for the perfect spring vase?!
To the left of our couches you see this organic, striped bungalow cabinet (currently on sale) which was the inspiration for last year‘s spring home tour…and houses my collection of cake stands and white porcelain baking dishes.
Want to see last years spring home tour? It’s a great way to see how I change things up from one year to the next!
If you are a loyal follower of my blog you may have already seen these clay bells hanging on our modern ladder. This was a less than $5 DIY I shared a couple of weeks ago (get the tutorial here).
Each season I update my front door with a different wreath and sometimes a new doormat. This doormat was a DIY I created a few months back (you can see how I create my fun doormats here and here).
And lastly, in January I replaced our entry console with this darling bench. I added another one of the peach/coral linen napkin pillows I made, along with this pretty ‘Celeste’ floral pillow by Hayden Home. Now when visitors walk into our home they have a place to put their purses and sunglasses!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Spring Home Tour: Modern Fresh Blossoms… If only you could hear the lovely sound of the birds chirping outside, making Spring time even more special!
