I love making Christmas cookies each year. As a child, these were always my favorite! And today, they are still my favorite.
But, I think my husband said it best, “When there’s a variety of cookies to choose from, I always passed on this cookie, it was too dry. But these aren’t and the cranberry gives them an extra bit of chewiness.”
BTW: I’ve had to make these twice already this season, because SOMEBODY ate almost all of them! Haha.
Today I’m joining my friends for a fun Christmas Cookie Swap. If you’re popping over from my friend Courtney’s blog Pizzazzerie hello and welcome! So happy to have you here! If you’re an old friend, thank you for coming back!
So every year I like to mark the beginning of the holiday season with a big batch of homemade Christmas cookies, and I love how it brings me back to my childhood, baking with my mother and the joys of Christmas.

I can still remember the first time I made these…the hubs thought I shouldn’t waste my time. He also thought adding cranberries would make them even worse. Clearly, I didn’t listen and now he begs me to make them each year! (As well as my Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies, found HERE).
And with only a few simple ingredients, they are so easy to make.
We mustn’t forget about Santa, leaving a few cranberry snowball cookies for him on a plate, are bound to bring a few extra special packages under the tree! I mean how could he resist these? And Mrs. Claus won’t be the wiser, due to lack of evidence that might fall into his white beard.
If you’re looking for the perfect cookie for the holidays, these truly are the best cranberry snowball cookies EVER!
