{Staging} Vintage Props Add Charm
Did you know that flea market finds make some of the best props for your shop or photography? (and of course, they’re inexpensive too!)
By incorporating vintage finds you can not only market your style but define it as well!
I like to include vintage/old items like:
- Chairs,
- Suitcases,
- Purses/Bags,
- Ladders,
- Bottle Collection,
- Shutters
- Doors,
- Product packaging (tin cans, crates/boxes, etc),
- Sheet music,
- Books,
- Telephones,
- Typewriters.
…anything that doesn’t distract but adds character and charm to the photo or display that you want to convey.
To inspire your creative juices, here are a few pictures that incorporated some vintage items:

Want some additional inspiration? I couldn’t think of anyone better than online shop owner Jeanne Oliver of Jeanne Oliver Designs (formerly known as A Bushel and A Peck).
Jeanne’s blog post, written for Flea Market Style Magazine, shares ways that she has used vintage finds in her own shop and photography…I hope this inspires you to do the same! Read it here.
