Decked and Styled Spring Home Tour – Bringing the Outside In

Hi friends! Welcome to the Decked and Styled Spring Home Tour! If you are coming over from my sweet friend (and client) Jen of Style House Interiors, welcome. I just love Jen along with everything she does – she’s so talented!

Note: At the bottom of this post I will be directing you on to the next stop on our tour – there’s a total of 6 other bloggers and I hope you will visit them to get a ton of spring inspiration this year!

Like every year, I’ve kept my Spring décor quite simple, but it makes such a refreshing, cheery impact. Simple and clean, with a “less is more” styling nature is always my foundation.

Welcome to my ‘Outside In’ Spring Home Tour!

I literally just painted my door a few weeks ago, and last week I shared with you my diy painted doormat ‘cute shoes’, you can learn how to make one for yourself HERE.

I’m a minimalist so I don’t have a ton of stuff, but each year I’ll add some plants (that will be planted outside at a later date), seasonal fruits (that the whole family eats – once they’ve been photographed, haha) and fabric (to make my own pillows)!

I have a lot of white so simply adding a bright color or two easily changes things up each year.

This year I decided to bring nature from outside into the home. I love the vibrancy of green plants, mixed with a few fresh flowers and of course, the beauty of citrus! Oh – and you see these books on my coffee table? I went to my local GoodWill and combed their shelves for ‘colored books’ that would go well with my theme/decor. They cost me $3 = cheap, easy and colorful!

I added a new potted plant into the center of our kitchen table and a blue and white striped Turkish towel on the bench for a lighter, crisp vibe.

A bouquet of fresh leather greens + blooms, along with a bowl of freshly picked lemons (we are so lucky here in Arizona during citrus time!) make the perfect centerpiece for the kitchen island. Earlier this week, I found these darling green vintage sherbet cups! Since I’m more of a cupcake than ice cream person, cupcakes it is – lemon flavored of course!

Lastly, I added a few daisies, some light green soap and a green striped Turkish hand towel to the kitchen sink area. A few spring touches here and there is all you need to easily springify your home!

Simple little things; like elements from nature, colorful towels, handmade pillows and fresh flowers, are my favorite things to decorate for Spring. From our entry way, to the living room and kitchen– there is always room for some refreshing, lighter Spring decor!

I hope you enjoyed my Decked and Styled Spring Home Tour! Now I’d like to send you on to my very special, talented friend (and client) Bree of Z Design at Home.  Bree has a transitional design style like me, so every week I’m visiting her blog to see what yummy goodness she has to inspire me… and her Spring home tour is to die for! Happy Spring friends!!!
