Refreshing Blackberry Cocktail (or Mocktail)
It’s that time of year… sunshine, pool, friends, a nice Refreshing Blackberry Cocktail in hand!
This blackberry cocktail drink recipe is made with blackberries, 7-up® and Malibu Coconut Rum, all fancied up with a few whole blackberries and a rosemary sprig.
Two requirements of any beverage I make – beautiful and delicious!
Here in Arizona, the temps get pretty high (and a lot earlier than other parts of the country). So even if it’s not blackberry season, I love that I can buy frozen blackberries all year round at the grocery store and have this refreshing drink… any time I want!
Do you know what else I love about this refreshing blackberry cocktail?
This beverage could easily be made as a very refreshing ‘mocktail’, sans alcohol. Simply by adding the muddled blackberries to the bottom of the glass, topped with crushed ice, a bit of 7-up and a few blackberries on top. It looks identical and tastes amazing too!
FYI: Muddled is simply a fancy term for “smashed”. Haha
This past weekend I was lounging in our pool, sipping on this refreshing blackberry cocktail and just loving life! I hope this inspires you to do the same.

I’m salivating!! I love a good poolside cocktail/mocktail recipe for the Summer and everything is better with a Rosemary sprig. I’m definitely making these for my sons grad party next week! The mocktail version, of course. Ha, ha!
The mocktail is delightful. When I add the rum, it’s truly just a splash – since I barely drink! This will be great for his grad party!!!
This looks delicious! I love how it can be made two ways! I’ll be adding this to our summer recipes
And it’s really quite easy… and you know that’s how I role sistah! xo
Is hard to believe the taste is as good as it looks! A masterpiece!! Yum
Try it and let me know what you think!
Yum!! I will be trying this for a gathering we are having this weekend. I just love blackberries!! Nice post.
Oooooh, let me know what they think! A splash of the coconut rum is all it takes, but it’s just as yummy (and gorgeous) without the rum. xo
This looks so refreshing! I love anything blackberry so definitely going to have to make this at home!
It is refreshing – well to me anyways!
