Best of Christmas: Holiday Décor Favorites
There is something magical about decorating your home during the holidays. It makes a home feel festive and inviting.
Over the weekend, I found myself getting excited for the holidays, browsing inspiring decorating ideas and making decisions for my own 2017 Christmas holiday home décor.
In the spirit of (almost) Christmas, I thought I’d help you get a jump start by sharing my own Best of Christmas Holiday Décor Favorites from years past. Enjoy!
Craftberry Bush
Lucy’s 2016 Christmas home tour is one of my all-time favorites. The blush and white combo will look amazing this year too – it’s just so light and feminine. I don’t think there’s anything that this woman does that I don’t like. She’s REALLY. THAT. GOOD!
And don’t think I’m ready to move on from Lucy just yet. Check out the tree she did for the 2016 Better Homes & Garden Christmas Ideas Magazine. She can even make turquoise look stunning, see what I mean.
Nina and Cecilia
These two have been flying under the radar, but they won’t be for long! I recently discovered their coastal farmhouse (Nina) and modern eclectic (Cecilia) styles and since I like their Instagram feed, I decided to check out their 2016 Christmas on the blog. And when what to my wondering eyes should appear… neutral and red holiday decor cheer!
Pink Peonies
I always love a white winter theme and Rachel Parcell’s 2016 holiday décor is another absolute favorite. It doesn’t hurt that she has three flocked Christmas trees in her living room and gorgeous wreath’s throughout her home! Every detail is well thought-out and beautifully executed.
And her 2014 white and red winter theme is divine as well.
Zevy Joy
Our sweet client Annie did a magical 2016 holiday décor theme. With a lightly flocked tree, some gold accents and neutral, natural elements a stage was set for a starry night. Cue the music, put on your comfy Christmas PJs, grab a hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and sit back to be transported into this magical wonderland of warmth and coziness.
Monika Hibbs
A classic look and neutral scheme, metallic touches, with a hint of whimsy is how I’d explain Monika’s 2016 holiday décor. Those bronze and blush color accents with natural foliage simply takes my breath away.
And her 2014 pretty, white theme with shimmery hints of gold + black and white captivates the traditional and modern senses.
Thrifty and Chic
The farmhouse style Christmas is very popular, but to me it reminds me of my youth and running around at my Grandparent’s house. Perhaps this is why I gravitate towards this simple styling with lots of charm. Alicia has even inspired me to (maybe) build my own faux fireplace. We’ll see how motivated I am after my fall One Room Challenge is revealed!
Kindred Vintage & Co
Last year I helped Susan from Kindred Vintage & Co with a little blog mishap and ended up falling in love with her 2016 holiday house walk. Her vintage bungalow with quirky charm set the most heavenly décor scene for Christmas last year – it was magical! The twinkling lights on the tree, the alluring flames in the fireplace and a fresh smell of pine makes this one of my holiday décor favorites!
I can’t wait to make my home holiday ready. I hope my best of Christmas holiday décor favorites have inspired you to create a wonderful, festive mood for your home as well! Happy decorating!
You are the best! Thank you for including us and thank you so much for your kindness and generosity last year, it means so much!! These are all so beautiful!! xo
How could I not share you! Your 2016 was so magical and divine… and your girls with their princess dresses were simply icing on the cake! Can’t wait to see what sort of magic you have in store for us this year! xo Susan
Love all of these bloggers – so much talent out there! I usually wait until after Thanksgiving to begin my Christmas decor, but I may have to start sooner!!!
I’m a planner, so my planning starts early! I only put up our tree with lights, no ornaments, the week before Thanksgiving. Then once Thanksgiving is done, it’s game on! Haha. Yep, you might have to start sooner!!!
One word – gorgeous!
