I don’t usually do a lot throughout the house, but I do a few simple things that bring the season into the heart of our home without spending a lot of money.

I love changing our home up each season. Just a few simple touches here and there make a world of difference.

My favorite places to add a little bit of autumn are the front door, living room, dining table and kitchen. We have an open concept home where you can see all of these areas at one time. By placing a few fall décor accents into each space, fall flows harmoniously from one room to the next.

I found this fun autumn apron from HomeGoods and couldn’t pass it up. Plus I’ll feel extra festive while I whip up a batch of Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls (recipe coming soon) or Pumpkin Donuts.

I especially love baking this time of year, with all the amazing scents. There’s something about fall smells that really just makes for an inviting home. My favorite aromas this time of year? Cider, pumpkin spice, and apple crisp.

I grabbed a bunch of wheat stems from Hobby Lobby and put some into a pitcher I already had and placed it on our kitchen island, along with a simple faux bouquet.

This mini autumn wreath added some extra punch of color to my neutral kitchen and daily reminder ‘to bless this day with grace and gratitude’. I’m not usually drawn to the traditional autumn coloring, but this year it just kept drawing me in…so I went for it!

I love keeping fall related foods on hand and adding them into my decor. Right now I have a bunch of Gala apples on hand, sitting on our dining table.

I took a few colorful faux berry stems (3 to be exact) and placed them in a pitcher on the end table.

Do you notice I have a lot of white accessories; vases, bowls, containers, etc? This makes it super easy for me to change my colors and seasonal decor inexpensively! Plus it makes the minimalist in me happy to have more than one use for an item, haha.

On my girls trip to Waco, we went to Magnolia Market and I saw this round basket on display – I actually didn’t buy it there because I didn’t want to have to lug it around – once I returned home, I ordered the basket online. Then I added another bunch of wheat stems to a vase I already had, a white pumpkin I bought a few years back and a coachella candle – a simple fall décor display for the budget friendly minimalist.

And that pretty much sums up my simple fall décor ideas for the budget friendly minimalist. Nothing too fancy, but there’s no need to go all out to feel like you have brought the fall indoors!

Happy Fall Y’all!
