Recipes Inspired By Joanna Gaines Cookbook

Joanna Gaines wrote in her Magnolia Table cookbook introduction…

“A huge part of cooking is owning and enjoying the experience. Similar to my design philosophy about making your space uniquely yours, I want you to feel inspired to personalize these recipes and adjust them for your family’s tastes.”

So that’s what myself and 5 other bloggers have done! We took our favorite recipes from Joanna Gaines cookbook, Magnolia Table and personalized them to our own family’s tastes.

Let’s get started shall we, here’s mine…

Joanna’s recipe is Grilled Havarti, Tomato & Basil Sandwiches that are made with mayonnaise on french bread.

My recipe variation uses a mayonnaise + siracha sauce, a havarti + mozzarella cheese mix on sourdough bread. You can make my sandwich variation grilled on a cooktop (like Joanna’s), but I prefer using our panini grill.

Everyone in my family likes a bit of a ‘kick’ to our sandwiches and that’s why I’ve created a mayonnaise + sriracha spread.

I love that havarti cheese has a buttery aroma and taste, while mozzarella has a unique stretchability. By combining these two cheeses together, you get the best of both worlds!

You’ll find my recipe at the bottom of this post, but first let me share a few other Magnolia Table inspired recipes. Be sure to visit the links and comment on which is your favorite recipe!
