Fall decorating ideas: neutral tones with a pop of color
Every year, prior to the season, I start pulling things that inspire me. And what’s great about fall decor is that it doesn’t have to be very expensive!
This year I’ve been gravitating towards fall décor and decorating ideas that contain neutral tones with a pop of color.
Since I was pulling ideas anyways, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite, inspirational fall decorating ideas… and I hope they inspire you too!
A front porch and entryway are great places to add touches of fall.
I especially love using-what-you-have, things like a pair of rain boots, warm blankets and baskets. I also love pulling in elements from nature like cotton stems, colorful leaves or branches and honeycrisp apples.
This lightly colored interior door and hints of blue (seen in the floor runner and bowls sitting behind window cupboards) add just the right touch to this neutral space.
But I have to say… it’s the neutral colored baking ingredients in glass containers sitting on the counter that shout fall to me!
Bring on all the pumpkin bread, donuts and muffin recipes. A home smelling of freshly baked goods will have visitors in fall heaven
A gorgeous fall faux centerpiece arrangement in a dough bowl or wood box that will last ALL SEASON is a great idea!
This simple diy centerpiece uses non-traditional fall colors, which is totally me, and would be a beautiful addition to any fall table.

Fresh flowers are an easy and inexpensive way to add a natural element to your fall decor. And don’t forget dried flowers too. I’ve always loved dried hydrangeas for fall decor.
Along with flowers, don’t forget things like pine cones, white pumpkins, and a fall color inspired kitchen towel.
I’ve also really been enjoying pops of red here and there to bring in some warm fall color.
Simple clippings from the yard, touches of copper and a wheat element add that classy fall vibe that I always prefer.
A season as naturally beautiful as Autumn deserves to be inside and outside.
I love how Cami used fall leaves and branches in her decor, to bring in the rich vibrant colors of fall without spending a dime.
I love the classic and simple touches of copper – and not just in the kitchen! Just a few copper accents can give you a casual, elegant fall look.
A little goes a long way in my book!
